Bed Bath & Beyond Closing 37 Locations This Month (Liquidation Sales Happening NOW!)
Bed Bath & Beyond is starting 2022 in the same way that it kicked off 2021 – with dozens of store closures.
This action is part of Bed Bath & Beyond’s strategy to strengthen its brand by closing underperforming or “redundant” stores, as we first reported in July of 2020.
As part of the retailer’s revitalization efforts, 200 of its stores (about 20% of its physical locations) were scheduled to close in stages. The first wave of store closures began with over 60 in the second half of 2020, with 43 more stores permanently shutting their doors last year at this time.
According to Business Insider, the current round of store closures will include 37 stores across 19 states. Liquidation sales have already begun in these locations, with the process expected to conclude by the end of February.
The complete list of locations scheduled to close this winter can be seen here.
If you’re located near one of the impacted stores, it may be worth checking out the liquidation sale. Inventory is already deeply discounted at many of the stores set to close.
Here’s what Hip sidekick Sara found at her local Bed Bath & Beyond’s liquidation sale:
